Color
Reducing the color on my phone has made my phone feel less addictive. Most configurations I’ve seen remove all color (greyscale), which I find too extreme. Instead, I’ve opted to remove some color (desaturation).
- Set up color reduction
- Go to Settings => Accessibility => Display & Text Size
- Set Differentiate Without Color to "on"
- Tap Color Filters
- Choose Greyscale
- Set the Intensity to taste. I set it to about 75% (this removes 3/4 of the color)
- Set up a "Toggle Colors" shortcut ===
- Open the "Shortcuts" app
- Tap the "+" at the top right to add a new shortcut
- Search for "color filters" and select "Set Color Filters"
- Change the shortcut from "<Turn> color filters <on>" to "<Toggle> color filters"
- Tap the title at the top, "Set Color Filters" and rename it to "Toggle Colors" (or another name of your choice)
- Tap "Done" at the top right
- Add the shortcut to a convenient place
- Add the shortcut to the home screen, Control Center, or assign it to your device's Action Button (if available).
