Reducing the color on my phone has made my phone feel less addictive. Most configurations I’ve seen remove ''all'' color (greyscale), which I find too extreme. Instead, I’ve opted to remove ''some'' color (desaturation).

Color

Reducing the color on my phone has made my phone feel less addictive. Most configurations I’ve seen remove all color (greyscale), which I find too extreme. Instead, I’ve opted to remove some color (desaturation).

Set up color reduction

  1. Navigate to Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size
  2. Set Increase Contrast to "on"
  3. Set Differentiate Without Color to "on"
  4. Tap Color Filters
    1. Choose Greyscale
    2. Set the Intensity to taste. I set it to about 75% (this removes 3/4 of the color)
